How do you properly and comprehensively assess privacy risks when developing or implementing new technology, such as artificial intelligence or biometrics. In the Bunnings case, the Administrative Review Tribunal found Bunnings had not undertaken adequate risk assessment before implementing the face recognition technology system. This session offers practical insight from representatives of global technology businesses working with cutting-edge technology on how to conduct privacy impact assessments, plus identify and mitigate risks before they result in compliance and trust issues. Despite their businesses being fast-paced, they have found ways to ensure their products truly embody privacy by design.

What you will learn:

• How to conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment.

• How to manage the risks of new and emerging technologies.

• How to manage global regulation risks and nonlegal risks (e.g. PR, customer trust).
