Broadcast Date: 16 Jan. 2026
Time: 07:00–08:00 PST, 10:00–11:00 EST, 16:00–17:00 CET

At the heart of the emergent landscape of EU digital law and policy are issues of privacy, cybersecurity, data protection, data access and use, platform safety and design, competition in the digital marketplace and, of course, artificial intelligence. New requirements from across the suite of new EU digital laws, as well as how they intersect with the EU's long-standing data protection regime, have created questions for practitioners, executives, and law and policymakers alike.

This webinar will take a closer look at the EU digital laws — including the AI Act, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Data Governance Act, Data Act and NIS2 Directive — with a deep dive into the various responsibilities and rights enshrined by these laws. It will also consider how the EU's ongoing efforts around simplification and implementation may affect compliance programs in the future.

Key takeaways:

  • The responsibilities, prohibitions and rights stemming from new EU digital laws, and how they can be met by building out or enhancing already in-place systems and processes around transparency, accountability and data governance.
  • How these new EU digital laws intersect with more established ones like the GDPR as well as with one another.
  • Ramifications of the EU's Simplification Agenda and thoughts on the future of digital responsibility and regulation in the EU.

Eligible CPEs: AIGP, CIPP/A, CIPP/C, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM and CIPT.
