Gov. Spencer Cox, R-Utah., signed 55 bills in the 2024 general legislative session, including a bill to add data privacy amendments to enact the Government Data Privacy Act. The bill establishes Utah's Office of Data Privacy, limits data collection and the ability to access personal data.
