Quebec's data protection authority, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, addressed concerns regarding the Quebec Automobile Insurance Company, the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec, and its facial recognition program. The CAI said the project must remain compliant with biometric privacy safeguards to ensure citizens' rights are protected and sensitive information is secure.
