The privacy bill within the omnibus mirrors Texas' comprehensive law, including unique coverage thresholds without monetary stipulations, explicit language for universal opt-out mechanisms and dark patterns, and a 30-day cure period. If enacted, the privacy bill takes effect 1 Jan. 2025.
