The Netherlands' data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, issued an advisory regarding data breach reporting. The AP called back to its annual report, which said it handled more than 25,000 data breach reports affecting 20 million people in 2023. The AP stressed to institutions they are required to warn people if their data may be at risk after a cyberattack.
