Everyone wants artificial intelligence to transform healthcare for the better. But no one wants their health data to be used to doing it. This session will tackle the challenges of using health data to train and improve AI. It will cover topics such as addressing a global framework of privacy laws governing sensitive data, determining when de-identification does and does not suffice for AI training, and obtaining necessary contractual and consumer rights.

What you will learn:

  • How to navigate a range of privacy laws governing health data as sensitive information.
  • What permissions are needed, if any, to create de-identified health data for training purposes.
  • Ensuring appropriate governance is in place when leveraging health data for AI training.
