Chief operating officer
- Ensures AI governance is embedded into AI processes across the organization.
- Manages cross-functional coordination.
- Executes and enforces AI policies, including monitoring and controls.
Horizontal leaders

- Oversees the entire AI strategy, implementation and risk management from a business and technological perspective.
- The CAIO has emerged as the most prominent specialized role in AI governance, serving as the primary executive responsible for AI strategy, implementation and risk management across the organization.
- Develops and oversees enterprise-wide AI strategy and risk management.
- Ensures compliance with AI regulations and internal governance frameworks.
