The Irish Times reports WhatsApp filed its appeal of Ireland's Data Protection Commission's 225 million euro EU General Data Protection Regulation fine over various breaches of transparency principles. In its appeal to the country's High Court, WhatsApp claims the fine violates its constitutional property rights while further alleging infringement on its rights to fair procedures.
