The New York Times reports T-Mobile reached a proposed $500 million settlement over claims related to its August 2021 data breach that affected 76.6 million individuals. In the preliminary agreement filed to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, T-Mobile committed to $350 million to cover consumer damages and $150 million toward the adoption of increased cybersecurity measures and technologies in the coming years.
