As the injunction against enforcement of the California Age-Appropriate Design Code Act is appealed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the states of Minnesota, Maryland and New Mexico are pursuing similar children online safety laws, The Washington Post reports. Draft language reviewed by the newspaper states the bills "would require companies to consider whether their products could lead to 'reasonably foreseeable' physical, psychological or financial harm to a child."
