Sweden's data protection authority, the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, announced it will assess voluntary publication certificates that allow companies to use personal information in search engines. The IMY will evaluate a change in its current policy after the Court of Appeal in Stockholm said Sweden's constitutional protection "should not always take precedence over the data protection regulation for holders of issuing certificates."
