France's data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, announced its plan to protect voter privacy by "reactivating its election observatory." The CNIL said it plans to prioritize voters' data collected by candidates' canvassing efforts and try to eliminate targeted political advertising.
