The Cyberspace Administration of China issued a CNY50 million fine to the China National Knowledge Infrastructure for allegedly collecting and processing personal information illegally, Reuters reports. The investigation into the CNKI reportedly began in mid-2022. In a statement, a CNKI official said the academic database "earnestly accepts" the decision.
