Haaretz reports cybercriminals launched a ransomware attack against Israeli financing firm KLS Capital that potentially involved thousands of files, including photocopies of checks and customer identification numbers. The group, referred to as the "Black Shadow," launched a similar attack against Israeli insurance firm Shirbit last December. In their latest attack, the hackers are seeking $600,000 to remove the exposed data from the web.
