Panetta & Associati has announced its merger agreement in NCTM Studio Legale e Associato following its six years of achievements as an independent law firm, effective July 28.

“I am very excited about this step forward former Panetta & Associati professionals have taken, and at the same time, I am proud of leading my practice in an extremely challenging and young professional contest,” Rocco Panetta told The Privacy Advisor.

Including Panetta, eight professionals will join NCTM, with Panetta becoming an equity partner.

He noted that the “number of professionals, practices and industries covered, as well as the presence of NCTM in London, Shanghai, Brussels, Rome, Verona and Milan, will give to us the chance to better reach out our clients and directly assist them closer in Europe and abroad.”

A formal announcement of the merger notes that, through this move, NCTM will strengthen its ability to support clients in such areas as privacy and corporate compliance as well as in the digital market and the telecommunication, media and technology sector while Panetta & Associati will be able to “provide a wider offer of legal services to our clients and enjoy of an international platform to better deliver our services.”

Panetta & Associati’s formal announcement states, “We have sought for a long time the right partner to successfully lead our team—proud of its core and distinctive values—toward wider, more solid and competitive horizons in order to provide our clients with ever-evolving and more specialized services of international level.”

With more than 250 professionals including, NCTM has been recognized as one of the leading law firms in Italy and has received multiple accolades, including being selected among the “Innovative Lawyers 2013” and, in 2012, as the Italian Law Firm of the Year at the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards.
