IAPP Virtual Options Aplenty!

In our current state of social distancing and working from home, the IAPP is finding new ways to help you learn, stay connected, and stay informed with a variety of virtual options.

Virtual KnowledgeNets:

Just because we can’t gather socially doesn’t mean you can’t network with colleagues. Virtual KnowledgeNets are taking place around the world. Check out your options here.

Virtual Training:

In-person trainings not an option due to COVID-19 restrictions? Check out live online trainings – the same format as classroom trainings, but delivered virtually. Learn more here.

Virtual Exams:

Starting in mid-May, we will be able to offer OnVue, Pearson Vue’s online testing option. Take your IAPP certification exam at home. Learn more here.

More to come!

In the coming weeks, we will be offering more virtual content, including web conferences, webinars, podcasts, and more. Keep an eye on the Daily Dashboard and Asia Pacific Dashboard Digest for updates.

Stay safe, stay well, and stay positive!

Jim Campbell, Region Manager – ANZ

KnowledgeNet Chapters bring the local privacy community together through free educational meetings and networking activities. They give members the opportunity to meet peers in their local area, learn something new, and earn free continuing privacy education (CPE) credits. There are over 140 chapters worldwide led by dedicated IAPP volunteers.

We are lucky to already have an active group of members on the ground planning and programming local networking events.  We have 7 Chapters throughout Australia and New Zealand. To sign up and learn more about your local chapter you can manage your subscriptions here. If you are not receiving emails about your local events check out this guide for instructions on how to update your profile.

The Country Leaders are the local face and voice of the IAPP with local regulators and businesses. They will also be working with the ANZ Advisory Board to program events like the ANZ Privacy Summit in Sydney. They are truly the front line of the IAPP in the region.

Jim Campbell is the Regional Manager for ANZ. He provides operational support for the region, supporting our KnowledgeNet meetings, events, membership and our Country Leaders as we strive to grow the IAPP in the region. He is available to answer your questions about membership and the IAPP in general.

The IAPP ANZ Advisory Board is made up of active privacy professionals from Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The ANZ board helps to identify and advise on the specific needs of ANZ based privacy professionals.
