Beginning 1 Jan. 2027, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the Opt Me Out Act will require browsers to offer opt-out preference signals that allow consumers to opt out of the sale/sharing of their personal information across every website they visit. This panel will explore how companies can empower individuals through robust privacy rights and meaningful choices. Panelists will discuss how these signals help solve the problem of implementing privacy, what consumers can expect to see on 1 Jan., and what we might see as the next steps to advance these tools. It will also explore how businesses can prepare to read and follow the signals.

What you will learn:

  • Opt-out mechanisms and global privacy signals.
  • Consent management and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Future trends in consumer empowerment and transparency.
