AI development and adoption is far outpacing legislative efforts to clarify responsibilities for governance. Regulators are stepping into the void, applying existing and emerging laws to AI risk within their domains and establishing coordination mechanisms to address intersections, overlaps and gaps that emerge. Join us for a discussion on how divided regulatory remits are affecting governance efforts, priorities, and approaches to manage AI risk. What is working, in which sectors, in which jurisdictions, with which applications and what is complicating AI development, rollout, or governance?

What you will learn:

  • How are regulators engaging on cross-sector AI governance priorities, from IP to online safety to privacy?
  • How should industry engage when regulators’ guidance or the laws themselves are at odds?
