This session brings together industry, academic, and government perspectives to explore the pressures, pitfalls, and possibilities of rapid decision making on high-stakes and novel questions about technology, especially AI, where leaders often feel pressed, by many factors, to make complex choices under tight time constraints, in decisions that ripple across organizations, communities, and society at large.

What you will learn:

  • Key challenges in rapid policy-making: Identify the risks and opportunities of rapid-fire decision making and learn practical approaches to mitigating risks while maintaining momentum.
  • Cross-sector perspectives on balancing speed, stakeholder impact, and substantive outcomes: Analyze how industry, academic, and government leaders weigh competing priorities and balance tradeoffs in high-impact, quick-turnaround decisions.
