Fireside Chat with Michael McGrath

The European Commission’s agenda on digital responsibility combines objectives of regulatory simplification, resilience and sovereignty, innovation and AI, and human-centric values while regulating an ever-moving online space. As European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath focuses on EU values, digital fairness and consumer protection in the online world, data protection and rule of law. He shapes many consequential debates with numerous governance implications, including the Digital Omnibus amending the GDPR, the announced social media ban for minors and the Digital Fairness Act among many others.
