Wednesday, 18 Nov.
16:30 - 17:30 CET

AI is transforming the work of the legal profession. The prevalence and impact of AI is seen in primary legal domains, including litigation and investigations, corporate and transactional matters, restructuring, regulatory and public policy work, and administrative and human resources functions.
The session will explore use cases, emerging practices, challenges and opportunities regarding the use of AI legal solutions. Panelists will share insights on how companies and institutions approach build, buy or code, when to invest in platforms, build internally or leverage AI-enabled automation, and the key risks, trade-offs and lessons learned from panelists managing these decisions in large companies and institutions.
What you will learn:
• How to approach and implement ‘human in the loop’ oversight, how to scale that oversight and review, and how to design interfaces and applications that apply human factoring engineering principles.
• Common failure patterns, best practices and trends informing build, buy, code decision-making for AI legal use.
• Professional and ethical considerations associated with AI use in legal practice, including key stakeholders, responsibilities and decision-making factors.
