In recent years, the European Union has adopted a significant number of laws to enhance cybersecurity. In this context, the NIS2 Directive (NIS2) plays a major role. This panel will discuss NIS2 compliance trends, identify emerging issues and comment on regulators’ priorities. It will also explore points of intersection and seek to clarify ambiguities between NIS2 and Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), including their respective scopes of application. Last but not least, the panel will discuss the European Commission's initiatives to simplify cybersecurity legislation and requirements, including facilitating multipurpose reporting and fostering consistencies across data protection and cybersecurity regulations.

What you will learn:

• A sense of emerging trends in compliance with NIS2
• Insights into regulators’ priorities in relation to NIS2
• Understand perceived overlaps between NIS2 and CRA.
• The EU Commission’s efforts to simplify cybersecurity legislation and requirements.
