As vendors rush to incorporate AI features into their products and services, their customers are being subjected to heightened risks, often without their knowledge. In this session, we will describe recent examples of major AI implementations (e.g., Gemini, LinkedIn), including how customers were made aware (if at all), and provide practical recommendations on how to avoid AI surprises. Next, we will discuss the top five risk factors associated with AI and share insights on how to protect against these risks. Lastly, we will describe how to develop a comprehensive AI governance program by leveraging existing governance processes (e.g., for TPRM, privacy, security), stakeholders, and systems rather than the more cumbersome approach of developing a standalone program.

What you will learn:

  • Understanding of the risks associated with the rapid incorporation of AI features into SaaS products and services, and practical recommendations on how to avoid AI surprises.
  • Knowledge of the top five risk factors associated with AI and how to protect against them.
  • Guidance on developing a comprehensive AI governance program that leverages existing governance processes.
