Recruitment and personnel management is becoming one of the most common “high risk” use cases for AI systems. This panel session will provide practical and actionable steps for managing the risks arising from the deployment of artificial intelligence in an employment context. We will consider the challenges of applying the AI Act’s high-risk provisions and cover common employment use cases for AI systems. We will also examine contrasts between international approaches to regulating AI at work and apply risk management strategies by walking through a case study of an HR AI use case. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to align employee privacy risk management processes with AI-related risks in the workplace. The panel is aimed at AI governance professionals, data protection officers and legal advisors, compliance managers and risk specialists who are involved in AI governance.

What you will learn:

  • Practical application of the AI Act’s provisions on AI for recruitment and in the workplace.
  • Risk-spotting and international regulatory expectations for responsible AI deployment in an employment context.
  • Applying AI risk management strategies to a common HR use case, in our case study walk-through.
