IAPP announces new Cybersecurity Law Center Advisory Board

Portsmouth, N.H. – 17 Sept. 2026 – The IAPP, the world’s largest and most comprehensive association of privacy, AI governance and digital responsibility professionals, today announced the creation of the Cybersecurity Law Center Advisory Board.  The board, comprising leaders at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology and law, will play an important role in promoting the mission of the IAPP Cybersecurity Law Center, identifying emerging issues and developing resources to meet the needs of cybersecurity law professionals.

"Cybersecurity law is evolving at a remarkable pace and touches more and more functions within an ever-growing range of organizations," Jim Dempsey, Managing Director of the IAPP Cybersecurity Law Center, said. "I'm excited to launch the IAPP Cybersecurity Law Center Advisory Board and work alongside fellow experts to strengthen the IAPP as a trusted resource for practitioners navigating today's pressing cybersecurity governance and compliance challenges."

The inaugural Cybersecurity Law Center Advisory Board, with terms running through 31 Dec. 2028, consists of:
