Quebec’s data protection authority, Le Commission d’accès à l’information du Quebec, published a report regarding potential children's privacy amendments to provincial privacy legislation. The goal of the report was to examine enhanced protections for children under the age of 14. Themes reviewed in the report include going beyond parental consent for children's data use, improved privacy awareness for parents and children, and proposals for prohibited data collection practices.
