OpenAI plans to alter its practices and policies on the use of customer data in artificial intelligence model training for speech-to-text technologies ChatGPT and Whisper, TechCrunch reports. As it allows for third-party app integration of ChatGPT and Whisper through new application program interfaces, OpenAI said it will not use data for "service improvements" without user opt-ins and add a 30-day data retention limit for API users.
