A lawsuit filed in London's High Court accuses Facebook of "surveillance advertising" and calls on the company to stop the practice, MediaPost reports. The lawsuit, filed by technology and human rights activist Tanya O'Carroll, claims Facebook "violates general data protection regulations by processing and profiling her personal data that's then tailored for the advertisements." Meta recently announced privacy updates for teens on Instagram and Facebook, including default privacy settings for Facebook users under 16, or under 18 in certain countries.
