The Illinois Senate unanimously passed a pair of bills strengthening privacy protections for sexual assault victims, CBS 2 Chicago reports. A series of reports by CBS 2 found publicly available court documents contained sensitive personal data of child sex crime victims. The bills, which now head to the U.S. House of Representatives for debate, strengthen privacy protections for minor victims and create privacy regulations protecting adult victims.
