The Federal Bureau of Investigation is warning companies about Ranzy Locker ransomware, which has compromised more than 30 businesses in industries including transportation and information technology since July, Nextgov reports. The ransomware attacks networks and exploits vulnerabilities in Microsoft’s Exchange Server, enabling access to information including customer data, personal information files and financial records. “Bad actors continue to adjust and evolve their tactics over time, and we must remain vigilant,” the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Executive Assistant Director for Cybersecurity Eric Goldstein said.
