Consumer Reports released a free app, "Permission Slip by CR," to help users manage personal information and request companies delete or stop selling their data. Restaurant chains, entertainment businesses and retailers including McDonald's, Amazon and Netflix, are currently included in the app. The app was developed by the Consumer Reports' Innovation Lab following the implementation of multiple state privacy laws. Editor's note: The IAPP's Jedidiah Bracy spoke with Consumer Reports' Ginny Fahs and Justin Brookman about Permission Slip.
