Brazil's Federal Senate will consider a bill to provide the country's data protection authority, the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, more independence. The proposal seeks to establish "a technical body" that is "independent and endowed with administrative and financial autonomy for the application of the law, in line with the international scenario."
