The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission published a report on data broker practices while seeking public feedback on the industry. The report looks at the "products and services (data brokers) create and supply" while also outlining "potential competition and consumer issues that may arise in the supply of data broker services." ACCC Chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb said despite the prevalence of data brokers in Australia "there is little transparency and awareness" about their overall work. Public comments on the report are due 7 Aug.
