Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser notified businesses that the Colorado Department of Law will begin enforcing the Colorado Privacy Act, which went into effect 1 July. Weiser said enforcement "is a critical tool to protect consumers' data and privacy." He added, "Our enforcement of this important law will not seek to make life challenging for organizations that are complying with the law, but rather will seek to support such efforts." Weiser directed businesses to educational resources to assist with compliance.
