Boards “have an awareness of the threat out there,” she said, “But what they’re struggling with—what they don’t know—is what is the risk that the (threat) has to any particular organization; how do you mitigate that risk, and how do you respond to it?” In her interview, she addresses what boards do not know about security, pre- and post-breach responsibilities and how and when to educate a board of directors.
