BREAKOUT SESSIONAI GOVERNANCEEMPLOYMENT AND HRETHICSREGULATORY GUIDANCERISK MANAGEMENTSTRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE

With most AI tools and systems used in the employment context being deemed high-risk under the EU AI Act, introducing compliant AI tools and systems in the workplace is a hot topic. This session will focus on AI tools and systems in recruitment. These provide significant benefits in terms of efficiency and cost reduction, but they also bring about legal, regulatory and reputational risks that require careful consideration. In our interactive case study, a multi-national company is preparing to roll out an AI-powered CV filtering tool, initially to source and screen candidates, and later for other use cases. Since they are not sure what they need to think about, the panel will help by considering questions such as how these tools work, the key risks and mitigations when rolling them out, areas of particular regulatory concern and a practical outlook on good governance.

What you will learn:

  • An understanding of the data protection and employment laws as they apply to AI tools in the workplace.

  • What the ICO expects to see when balancing efficiency gains from using AI tools with compliance issues.

  • An understanding of risk mitigation and practical strategies for deployment
