Instead of adopting a comprehensive law like the EU, the U.S. has regulated artificial intelligence through privacy and anti-discrimination laws, state algorithmic discrimination laws and federal enforcement activity focused on unfair and deceptive acts and practices. Based on this patchwork, how can companies stay abreast of and address the regulatory requirements in the U.S.? Using hypothetical scenarios, this panel will discuss topics including understanding jurisdictional differences and highlighting AI use cases that could expose a company or institution to increased risk. Delegates should walk away with practical tips for identifying priorities for compliance.

What you will learn:

  • Overview of AI regulation at the state and federal level in the U.S.
  • Hot topics and areas of higher compliance, litigation and enforcement risk.
  • Tips for coordinating different requirements both within the U.S. and from an EU-U.S. perspective.
