From TELUS's AI Factories powered by NVIDIA and HPE infrastructure to the Bell-Cohere partnership, Canada is serious about keeping sensitive data within jurisdiction while building domestic artificial intelligence capacity. But AI and data sovereignty are only half of the equation. What is the other half? This session will explore the missing pieces that can make Canada’s strategy a success. We will also examine why local data infrastructure is becoming a national business strategy. In addition, we attempt to map out the key players, risks and opportunities driving Canada’s secure, independent digital future for governance and strategic planning.

What you will learn:

  • Why local data infrastructure is a must for sovereignty.
  • The other half of the equation (i.e., technology management).
  • Who the players are and what the risks and opportunities are.
