Privacy Management and Accountability Program Development

Wednesday, 6 May

13:30 - 17:30 EDT

WORKSHOP
This workshop is for beginning and intermediate privacy professionals who want to learn how to put a privacy management and accountability program in place. A legislated requirement in some provinces, PMAPs are recommended by privacy commissioners across Canada. We will look at developing PMAPs for mature companies and institutions who have already implemented privacy policies, and at getting started for those who are catching up with legislative requirements. Targeted for privacy offices supporting small to medium businesses, not-for-profits and public sector agencies, participants will leave with a roadmap they will tailor to their needs during the session.

What you will learn:

  • Necessary components of a practical, implementable PMAP.
  • How to convert an existing privacy program into a PMAP, with upgrades.
  • How to create an achievable and right-sized new program from scratch.

Additional registration fee required.
