Join Colleen Brown of Sidley Austin for a fireside chat interview with Harry Krejsa, Director of Studies at the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy & Technology (CMIST) and former Assistant National Cyber Director for Strategy and Research at the White House, Office of the National Cyber Director, for an in-depth discussion on the evolving landscape of American AI policy. Drawing on Krejsa’s extensive experience in cyber and technology strategy for both domestic and international policy, the session will examine the challenges and opportunities currently shaping the future of AI. This session will explore the continuity and evolution of core objectives in U.S. AI policy over recent years, and how these priorities are influencing the global market, technological innovation, and the development of AI law. Participants will gain insights into the key barriers facing Agentic AI, as well as recent advancements in critical infrastructure such as data centers, semiconductors, energy, and economic policy. The discussion will also address significant regulatory and statutory developments that may either promote or hinder market adoption and competition. Additionally, the session will cover how issues of security, integrity, safety, and other risks are being anticipated and managed throughout the AI development and deployment process.
