Private and public sector members, as well as academia, have a vital role in advancing artificial intelligence’s (AI’s) positive impacts by identifying new opportunities where the responsible use of AI can solve expensive problems and provide new efficiencies for consumers and businesses.

Yet, AI also raises unique challenges that the government, private sector, and others have an important role in addressing across development, distribution, deployment, and end-use phases. One of the biggest challenges remains to determine the appropriate distribution of risk and liability across the AI value chain.

This panel will illuminate the state of the law impacting AI liability (who is responsible for doing what), explore the roles of and interdependencies between actors in the value (or supply) chain of AI solutions, and provide advice and viewpoints on how trust and accountability can and should be advanced in AI moving forward.

What you will learn:

  • Describe the state of the law impacting AI liability.
  • Explore the roles and interdependencies between actors in the value (or supply) chain of AI solutions.
  • Provide advice and viewpoints on how trust and accountability can and should be advanced in AI moving forward.
