IAPP Announces New Board of Directors and Executive Committee Members
Appointees Include Prominent Privacy Leaders at Baker McKenzie, Norton Rose Fulbright, Cisco and Mastercard
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – March 7, 2022 - - The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community and resource, today announced the addition of four new directors to its board for 2022, including Elizabeth Denham, consultant at Baker McKenzie; Anna Gamvros, partner at Norton Rose Fulbright, Hong Kong and Head of Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity for Asia Pacific; Harvey Jang, vice president and chief privacy officer at Cisco; and Caroline Louveaux, chief privacy officer at Mastercard.

Elizabeth Denham joined Baker McKenzie following a five-year term as the UK’s Information Commissioner, during which time she built upon her previous experience as Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia and Assistant Privacy Commissioner of Canada. She oversaw an expansion of the ICO and pioneered work on safeguarding the public, including setting standards for children’s privacy and introducing a regulatory sandbox. Her investigation work has focused on complex data ecosystems explaining to the public how and why their personal data is being used.
Anna Gamvros is based in Asia, where for the last 18 years her practice has focused primarily on data protection, incident response and technology and communications related issues. She has worked on numerous cybersecurity incident and data breaches involving a variety of threats and threat actors, including some of the largest and most high-profile breaches in Asia. Gamvros has experience dealing with regulators across multiple jurisdictions in terms of both notifications and investigations, as well as assisting clients with data protection compliance and advisory projects globally and across the Asian region.
Harvey Jang is responsible for Cisco’s global privacy strategy, vision and mission – compliance, market access and differentiation. He leads a global team of privacy professionals, lawyers and engineers in developing and operationalizing Cisco’s privacy policies and standards, privacy by design and accountability frameworks and certifications. Jang, alongside his team, represents Cisco with regulators, standards bodies, non-governmental organizations, media and customers on issues related to privacy, information governance and data ethics.
Caroline Louveaux leads Mastercard’s work at the forefront of the policy, regulatory and legal compliance on privacy and data protection, globally. She spearheaded the company’s global adoption of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as the adoption of Mastercard’s Binding Corporate Rules and APEC Cross-Border Privacy Rules to safeguard the future of Mastercard’s global data flows. Louveaux advises the company on issues that support Mastercard’s technology leadership, including cybersecurity, data portability and open banking, data localization, digital identity, blockchain, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Additionally, the IAPP welcomes its newly elected executive committee for 2022, including:
- Chair Vivienne Artz, Chair of the International Regulatory Strategy Data Committee or NED for GLEIF.
- Vice Chair Mikko Niva, global privacy officer at Vodafone.
- Past Chair Patrice Ettinger, JD, CIPP/US, chief privacy officer at Pfizer.
- Treasurer Faith Myers, CIPP/US/E, CIPM, FIP, chief privacy officer and vice president at McKesson Corporation.
- Secretary Anna Zeiter, CIPP/E, CIPM, chief privacy officer at eBay.
