The privacy profession first emerged from the Internet and technological boom of the 1990s, leading to a wealth of new opportunities. While many were hesitant to embark on this unknown path, a group of women crossed boundaries and paved the way for others to follow. Tomorrow at 11 a.m., some of the top female privacy and security leaders will talk about their experiences, the obstacles they had to overcome and what to expect as a professional just starting out. The session, to be held in Monet 2, aims to build on the work put forth in years past by a dedicated group of IAPP member volunteers. Unsure if it’s your scene? Check out this short clip of of a similar session at last year’s IAPP Privacy Academy and CSA Congress.
