The Brooking Institution looks at vaccine passports and why a U.S. privacy law is needed to properly protect health information. While the European Union has the Digital Green Certificate and the EU General Data Protection Regulation to safeguard sensitive data needed for a vaccine passport, the U.S. does not have similar protections in place.
