The New York Times reports the White House will ask the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Act through April 2025. While U.S. Congress previously extended the Section 702 reauthorization deadline to 19 April to settle partisan disagreements, the Department of Justice and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence are set to request annual re-certification of Section 702 from the FISA court.
