On an episode of Euractiv's The Tech Brief podcast, competition expert Cristina Caffarra and Ireland's Council for Civil Liberties Senior Fellow Johnny Ryan discuss a recent Court of Justice of the European Union verdict involving competition and data protection. The CJEU found national competition authorities can determine EU General Data Protection Regulation infringements when examining competition cases. "Ultimately, it is not possible today in the digital world to enforce competition law without really integrating it with data protection," Caffarra said.
