A portion of a lawsuit brought by the Vermont attorney general's office over Clearview AI's biometric collection was granted permission to proceed, Reuters reports. Chittenden Superior Court in Vermont rejected Clearview's attempts to dismiss charges under Vermont's consumer protection law but tossed the attorney general's claims under the state's data broker law.
