Thales' "2024 Digital Trust Index" found users' trust in social media platforms is declining, with 14% of users saying they would prefer not to share personal information with social media companies, Infosecurity Magazine reports. Digital marketing firm Klatch CEO Charles Howes said, "transparency is paramount; users deserve clear and comprehensive explanations regarding data usage, content moderation policies, and algorithmic processes."
