The U.S. House Committee on Rules advanced a new attempt to reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act out of committee, which sets the stage for a full House vote on reauthorization, Semafor reports. The major change in the bill is a two-year sunset provision, instead of a five-year extension. Section 702 will sunset 19 April without reauthorization.
